Breakfast seminar offers insights on ecosystems in mobility business

On April 11th, 2019 a breakfast seminar addressed the role of ecosystems in shaping future mobility business. The breakfast was also supported by the BAT Circle research project. Professor Michael G. Jacobides of the London School of Business initiated a lively discussion on the evolution of the mobility industry.

The panelists participating in a discussion on mobility were Anne Berner, Finland’s Minister of Transport; Kaj Pyyhtiä, Co-Founder of MaaS Global; Jyrki Nurmi, Senior Vice President, EV Systems at Valmet Automotive; and Tero Holländer, Head of Business Development and Product Sales, Recycling and Waste Solutions at Fortum.

The morning’s engaging discussions brought forth a variety of perspectives on the mobility industry and provided rich food for thought. The panel discussion concluded that Finland has considerable value to offer other countries as a forerunner in the mobility transition. This will eb evaluated as a spearhead topic for Finland’s presidency of the Council of the European Unions set to commence on July 1st, 2019.
